In India a Diploma in Engineering is a specific academic award usually awarded in technical/vocational courses e.g. Engineering, Pharmacy, Designing, etc. Studies of Diploma in Engineering is usually held in Polytechnic institutes recognized by respective State Boards of Technical Education/Examination.
